This brush from a mixture of natural kolinsky and synthetic hair is a patented development of Roubloff. The natural hair holds a large amount of water, while the sharply tapered synthetics make the brush extra resilient and provide a pointed tip. This brush works well with watercolours and is suitable not only for large area washes, but also for fine details.
The patented technology of the wire-free French style quill fastening makes the brush secure and comfortable to hold. The stylish and practical handle finish protected with lacquer is resistant to aggressive media.
The hair is protected with a reusable cap which can be taken off and then put on through the brush shaft. It is convenient en plein air and prevents the brush hair from being damaged and from staining other items.

Care & Maintenance
Watercolor & Gouache Brush Care
Proper watercolor brush care helps maintain the softness and precision of the bristles. After each use, rinse the brush thoroughly with clean water to remove any paint residue. Wash occasionally with mild soap, baby shampoo, or a dedicated brush cleaner, then gently reshape the brush tip.
Allow the brush to dry horizontally at room temperature on a paper towel or cloth. Avoid drying brushes in direct sunlight or near heaters, as heat can damage the bristles and affect the brush shape. Regular cleaning keeps watercolor and gouache brushes flexible and ready for precise painting.
Acrylic Brush Care
To maintain acrylic paint brushes, clean them immediately after use because acrylic paint dries quickly and can damage the bristles. Rinse the brush with warm water and wash it with soap or a brush cleaner to remove paint residue.
Make sure the paint does not dry inside the bristles. If dried paint remains, a special brush cleaning solution may be required. After washing, reshape the brush head and allow it to dry naturally on a flat surface. Proper acrylic brush maintenance helps preserve brush flexibility and painting precision.
Oil Paint Brush Care
